“You know I will,” he grinned and took off after his brother’s player. He moved slightly as his character moved on the screen, accidentally bumping into Ethan. “Sorry,” he said as he glanced over at Ethan.

Ethan grinned. “You’re fine.” he said, leaning against his twin. Jumping on a goomba, he moved his player around a piranha plant. “Where’s a mushroom when you need it?”

“I know, right?” he said as he jumped and hit a question block, hoping for a powerup but getting some coins instead. “I’m so close,” he said as he caught up to Ethan’s player. He tried to jump over him but timed it wrong and ran into a koopa paratroopa. “DAMNIT!”

“Super Mario? Well of course,” Evan replied to Ethan and moved to sit beside him. He reached over to the table and grabbed his mug, taking a sip and placing it beside him. He grabbed a controller and waited for the game to start up. “Ready?”

“Ready as ever! “Ethan joked, starting the game. He jumped his player over Evan’s as the level started, taking off down the world. “Catch me if you can!”

Evan left the busy kitchen and walked up to his room with two mugs of hot chocolate. He nudged the slightly open door and closed it behind him as he walked inside. Placing the mugs on the table, he flopped on the bed beside his brother. “Hey, I brought something for you,” he said with a smile.

Ethan looked up at his brother, smiling. “Thanks, Ev.” He took the cup, then patted the ground next to him. “Have a seat I was about to start up a rousing game of Super Mario. Care to join?”

“Super Mario? Well of course,” Evan replied to Ethan and moved to sit beside him. He reached over to the table and grabbed his mug, taking a sip and placing it beside him. He grabbed a controller and waited for the game to start up. “Ready?”

Evan left the busy kitchen and walked up to his room with two mugs of hot chocolate. He nudged the slightly open door and closed it behind him as he walked inside. Placing the mugs on the table, he flopped on the bed beside his brother. “Hey, I brought something for you,” he said with a smile.

Evan chuckled and took a slice. “We need to get you out more,” he told her. He took a bite of pizza. “It is good, I’m going to have to remember that place for future reference.” He wrapped his arm around her and pressed his check against her head. “You’re welcome, I’m so glad you’re enjoying it.” He took another sip of his wine.

Katherine finished off her slice of pizza and took a long sip of wine. “Maybe next time we can go out for a picnic or something!” She smiled at the thought of it, snuggling closer to Evan. 

Evan reached for the wine bottle and poured himself another glass. “Do you want some more?” he asked her, looking down at her. “Yes! A picnic would be so much fun. And it’s starting to get nicer out too,” he said with a smile. “One day soon we will.”

“You caught me,” Evan teased. He took a sip and watched her as she swirled the wine in the glass before taking a drink. “I must say, I do agree madam.” He winked and took another sip of wine. “Pizza?” he offered, opening the box.

“Mmm, don’t mind if I do!” She took the slice and took a bite. “Uhh, so good, haven’t had pizza in awhile.” Katherine sighed and leaned her head onto Evan’s shoulder. “This is great Ev, thank you.”

Evan chuckled and took a slice. “We need to get you out more,” he told her. He took a bite of pizza. “It is good, I’m going to have to remember that place for future reference.” He wrapped his arm around her and pressed his check against her head. “You’re welcome, I’m so glad you’re enjoying it.” He took another sip of his wine.

“Good,” he smiled and kissed her back. “Lemme go grab a couple glasses and a bottle opener.” He quickly went to the kitchen and found the glasses. After looking in a couple drawers he found the bottle opener and brought everything back to the living room. He poured the wine and handed her a glass with a smile.

“Wine too? Why Mr. Brightman, I do believe you might be trying to get me drunk.” She smiled and took the glass when he handed it to her. Katherine swirled the glass and sniffed the drink, “Ahhh yess, what a robust blend, wouldn’t you agree my good man?”  She laughed and then took a sip of the wine. 

“You caught me,” Evan teased. He took a sip and watched her as she swirled the wine in the glass before taking a drink. “I must say, I do agree madam.” He winked and took another sip of wine. “Pizza?” he offered, opening the box.

“In the living room,” Evan called when he heard her. He looked up and smiled when she walked in. “I hope you don’t mind pizza, it’s the only place nearby besides the liquor store that was open.” He walked over to her and took her hand, leading her to a seat.

Katherine walked into the living room and followed Ev to her seat. “Oh, no I don’t mind at all!” She smiled and leaned forward to kiss him. 

“Good,” he smiled and kissed her back. “Lemme go grab a couple glasses and a bottle opener.” He quickly went to the kitchen and found the glasses. After looking in a couple drawers he found the bottle opener and brought everything back to the living room. He poured the wine and handed her a glass with a smile.

Evan opened the door and walked inside her house. “Kat!” he called as he closed the door behind him and walked over to the living room. He noticed the candles she had placed around the room and grinned. He moved over to the table and placed the box of pizza and the wine bottle down as he waited for her.

Katherine heard Evan’s voice coming from downstairs. “Wow, that was really quick,” she shouted down. She walked out of her room and down the staircase, “Ev?”

Evan smiled and thought for a moment. “I’ve got an idea!” he told her. “I need to run and grab a few things though, I’ll be back as soon as I can. I promise.” He gave her a hug and walked to the door. “See you shortly.” He ran over to his car and drove down the street. After driving a couple more blocks, he found a liquor store and used his fake ID to buy a bottle of wine. Not being able to find any other open restaurants, he stopped to pick up a pizza and drove off back to Katherine’s. He knocked on the door and waited for her to open it.

Katherine stood there as she watched Evan race out of her house. She laughed,”That boy is so crazy,” she sighed and walked over to the furniture to rearrange it. She felt that whatever they planned on doing, it needed a better atmosphere. Katherine ran up to her room and placed a several candles around the living room, leaving a few in her bedroom, just in case, she thought to herself. Once she was finished she dimmed the actual lights and put in a new cd, then ran upstairs to change into something else. 

Evan opened the door and walked inside her house. “Kat!” he called as he closed the door behind him and walked over to the living room. He noticed the candles she had placed around the room and grinned. He moved over to the table and placed the box of pizza and the wine bottle down as he waited for her.
